Contour TRL

Collagen is your skin’s primary structural protein, responsible for maintaining your skin’s firmness and youthful texture. The aging process robs your skin of collagen, but Contour TRL is a non-invasive, deep skin resurfacing treatment that stimulates collagen production and reverses the signs of aging — no injections, incisions, or downtime.

Deep Skin Resurfacing & Revitalization

Most IPL and laser treatments focus on the skin’s surface, i.e., the epidermis. They channel light energy to destroy unwanted pigmented lesions and improve skin complexion. But what if you have deeper acne scars, wrinkles, and sun damage? Contour IRL is a revolutionary new laser technology that targets the deeper layers of your skin, helping you achieve a deep-down resurfacing and revitalization effect. It can reduce deep facial creases, wrinkles, and skin imperfections and stimulate collagen production without surgery.

What is Contour TRL?

Contour TRL is a powerful skin resurfacing treatment that uses an Erbium Yag laser to target deeper layers of your skin. The targeted wavelengths of laser energy penetrate your dermis to stimulate collagen production, a fibrous protein that makes your skin look firm and taut. Contour TRL also exfoliates the uppermost layers of your damaged skin to pave the way for smoother, softer, healthier skin. Over time, Contour TRL can help with numerous skin concerns, including deep wrinkles, creases, acne scarring, and pigmentation problems.

The Contour TRL Procedure

Your Contour TRL treatment will start with a consultation. Our medical providers carefully examine your skin, discuss your goals, review your medical history, analyze your skin conditions, and curate a treatment plan. The medical provider will cleanse your skin and administer local anesthesia to ensure comfort. After adjusting the appropriate depth of treatment, the Contour TRL laser will channel laser energy into your skin. Finally, the medical provider will apply a laser balm to your skin to soothe post-treatment discomfort.

The Contour TRL Recovery

After your Contour TRL treatment, you can expect tenderness, warmth, and mild discomfort. You can also expect mild pinpoint bleeding, oozing, and seeping for up to 72 hours after the treatment. The most common side effects of this treatment include redness and swelling, which should persist for up to 12 days. You can resume low-level activities after a few days, but most patients need at least 10 to 14 days off work and strenuous activities for recovery.

Contour TRL FAQs

How do I take care of my skin after Contour TRL?

After your treatment, you should put on a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and avoid direct sunlight exposure for 24 hours. Drink plenty of water and use a mild, non-abrasive moisturizer to help keep your skin hydrated. To prevent any irritation and discomfort, avoid chlorine, hot showers, and tight clothing. You should also keep your skin protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Will I experience peeling and flaking after the treatment?

You may experience peeling and flaking within 24 hours of the treatment. Allow your skin to peel off naturally — don’t pick, rub, or force your skin to come off. You must also wash your face gently to speed up the peeling process.

When can I return to work after Contour TRL?

Contour TRL involves up to 2 weeks of downtime. After the treatment, you can expect redness, swelling, bruising, pinpoint bleeding, and other side effects to persist for several days. That’s why you should take at least 2 weeks off work, especially if your work involves leaving your home or performing high-intensity activities.

When will the Contour TRL results become visible?

You’ll start seeing improvements in your skin tone and texture approximately 2 or 3 weeks after your treatment, i.e., once the side effects dissipate. However, the results will continue improving for several weeks and months as your body produces new collagen fibers.

How many Contour TRL sessions do I need?

Most patients see dramatic improvements after one Contour TRL session. However, you may need additional sessions if you have severe signs of aging and deep facial creases. Our medical providers will curate a personalized treatment plan and frequency for you.
